VISA APPLICATION

1. For all categories of visas (except investor, private and transit) applicants should produce a copy of letter of invitation (LOI) from Kazakhstan which should bear Visa Support No. written in the LOI.

2. Letter of invitation (LOI) for tourist purposes may be provided by some travel companies in Kazakhstan through Indonesian travel companies in Jakarta.

3. Visa Clearance (visa support) is done by the Department of Consular Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cities of Astana or Almaty. Request your inviting party to do the needful. Visa Support Number indicates that the invitation has been accepted and is being processed as per Kazakhstan immigration rules.

4. After being processed, the Visa Clearance is sent electronically to the Embassy of the Kazakhstan to the Republic of Indonesia. You need to quote your Visa Support Number while applying for your Visa at the Embassy for the Consul to verify the information. Before submitting documents to Consular Section it is possible to check by telephone if Visa Clearance is in consul’s information system: for this consul needs passport or Visa Support Number.

5. Processing of the Visa at the Embassy takes 5 working days except in cases of heavy volume of visa applications or when visa data is not fed into the electronic visa system or if there is some electronic mistake in name of person, in name of inviting organization, etc.
Urgent procedure is not available.

and holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
* January 1-2 - New Year
* January 7 - Christmas Day
* March 8 - International Women's Day
* March 21-23 - Nauryz
* May 1 - Day of Unity of Peoples of Kazakhstan
* May 9 - Victory Day
* July 6 - Capital Day
* August 30 - Constitution Day
* December 1 - Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
* December 16 - Independence Day.
If these holidays fall on Saturday or Sunday, the holiday is considered the next working day.

 

6. Filling of Visa Application Form. To get Business Visa please state your educational background in full in the Visa Application Form, or attach relevant copies of documents. Applicant should fill accurately and neatly all lines (answer all questions) in Visa Application Form. Please, write down telephones and e-mail of applicant into Visa Application Form. Not complying with above may cause delay in issuing Visa.

7. Please note that cash is not accepted. Consular fee in cash are paid through Bank Mandiri branches (Jl. Jend. Gatot Subroto Kav. 36-38 or others), in favor of Kazakhstan Embassy account No. 070-0006592682. Other kinds of payments (by cheque, by draft, transfer) are not accepted.

8. While applying for your visa you should submit the following documents to the Kazakhstan Embassy:
1. Copy of invitation letter issued by host organization/private person in Kazakhstan (fax or scan copies are acceptable) which bears Visa Clearance No. The original copy of the letter should be submitted to the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan;
2. Covering letter from the company or working place (Sponsor Letter);
3. One completed Visa Application Form with bold letters;
4. One colored photo, sized 3,5 х 4,5;
5. Original passport;
6. Consular fees receipt.

 

In case of doubt, Consul may demand additional documents, including used passports, proof of residence, bank statement, interview, etc.

 

Please prepare your trip and itinerary accordingly – do not buy air tickets unless you have visa in your passport.

The citizens of Australia, Austria, Luxembourg, Hungarian, Greece, Israel, Qatar, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Iceland, Canada, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Lithuania, Latvia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Portugal, Singapore, Poland, Croatia, Republic of Korea, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Malta, Slovenia, Romania, United States, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Slovakia, Oman, Finland, France, Germany, Malaysia, Brazil, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Estonia, Japan and Jordan can apply for a Single Entry Visa without letters of invitation approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

NOTE 1: From 20th of October 2010, visa applications must be lodged in person by the applicant. Proxy and Postal applications will not be accepted.
NOTE 2: All foreign citizens must register at the local Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan or at the hotel within 72 hours upon arrival to Kazakhstan. Otherwise they will be fined by the Immigration Service on departure.
