The papuan police and the Papuan Volunteer Corps neutralised many Indonesian infiltrations during the West New Guinea dispute in the 1950's and early 1960's.. These Indonesians would not have survived the droppings into the jungle. After the Dutch left, the US and Australians kept dropping food supplies into the jungle to reach Indonesians left behind in the jungle.
